As long as its owner isn’t out to set a new speed record, the Pro Mountain 80 Ti marches down the hill with military precision, moving smoothly edge to edge with minimal prompting. The ski responds to light pressure, so it’s suitable for women in its shorter lengths. Stephanie Humes from Jan’s finds “the new tip profile keeps this ski user friendly but felt a bit more solid to me on edge [than the Motive 80].   Still easy to smear and surprised me in the crud,” she confides.

The Pro Mountain 80 Ti combines 3 technologies to achieve a lightweight ski that won’t fold like a cheap suit under pressure. Razorshape domes the top of the ski, removing material from over the edges; Air Tec Ti cuts away all excess core material and reinforces the center of the ski with a Titanium plate; and 12K Carbon inserts at tip and tail to lower swing weight. As long as the Pro Mountain 80 Ti keeps an edge in the snow it’s stable and sassy, staying comfortably in contact with a medium-radius turn.
