The reason we’re not recommending the new 90EIGHT isn’t because it didn’t pass muster; instead, it skipped class.  By the time we saw the first sample of a 90EIGHT, the ski test circus had left town.  About all we can say from our limited exposure is it seemed more comfortable in the sort of soft snow one encounters off-piste, where it could bank its wide body into a wall of snow, rather than on the firm conditions that prevail on trail.  But our speculations are premature. We’re including the 90EIGHT in our brand coverage to enable our readers to find it so they can evaluate it for themselves.
