The last time our test panel was able to catch a ride on the Depth Hoar was three seasons ago, when there was enough snow to float this tanker-sized surfer.  The other end of the edging spectrum from Occam’s Razor, the Depth Hoar planes along the surface of a snowfield, reducing effort to the lone essential of aiming. Once again we raise a glass (considering the Depth Hoar’s girth, we should raise a shot-ski’s worth) in hopes that Ullr will bring enough snow this season to re-experience the Depth Hoar in its natural element.
