The new Rossignol 84 Ti W is based on the men’s Experience 84 AI, so it has Rossi’s latest tech, Line Control Technology and Air Tip VAS, along with a bonus shock damping element in the forebody. Like all the new lightweight Experience models, its shape and baseline suggest a bias for off-trail pursuits, but its most likely owner wouldn’t classify herself as an off-piste skier. “Great ski if you were beginner/intermediate and wanted to progress up to solid intermediate,” advises Lauren Takayesu of Footloose Sports, who also notes its “improved top sheet.”
As is appropriate for Finesse skiers who don’t generate a lot of energy, the Experience 84 AI is supple and intent on short-radius turns (12m@160cm). “This is a fun, soft, light ski for someone who doesn’t have a lot of power,” agrees Chix on Stix participant Laurie James. Veteran tester Kelli Gleason of Boot Doctors concurs: “Soft and supple from start to finish. Good drifting capabilities yet easy to roll on edge.”
The Experience 84 AI is available with or without an easy-entry Look NX11 binding.
