The new core created for the Enforcer 110 (and Enforcer Pro) embodies several more clever ideas. The central core uses a relatively thin laminate of poplar, beech and balsa around a channel of foam that it sheaths in top and bottom sheets of .4mm Titanium. To compensate for the added weight of metal, the Enforcer 110 core replaces heavy glass layers with laminates of carbon fiber prepreg. The resulting structure weighs no more than the Patron, the model the Enforcer 110 replaces in the Nordica line, despite sporting two sheets of Ti the Patron lacked. Quite the coup.

When Nordica decided to expand its Enforcer collection to ever-wider shapes, it did several clever things. Top of the list was the decision to not simply expand the dimensions of the Enforcer 100, the eminently successful originator of the Enforcer magic. Nordica built a new ski from the inside out, and, boy, did it pay dividends.

There are several other well-conceived elements to the Enforcer 110, including its tip and tail shape, the subtle transition zones between rocker and camber and the traditional rebound concealed in said cambered area. Nordica didn’t flare the Enforcer 110’s tip and tail to the degree it did on the Enforcer 100, so despite being 10mm apart in waist width, both skis share the same turn radius in the same lengths. This helps the Enforcer 110 be an even better crud ski, as it removes some of the shape that can become unwieldy in deep, broken snow.

Here’s how the indefatigable Bob Gleason rhapsodizes about the Enforcer 110: “True to the Enforcer line, the 110 has an uncanny blend of big-ski float and directional fortitude, with a quickness and rebound that will have you tap dancing in the tight spots. This is the most versatile wide profile ski I have ever used! The shape of its sidecut lends itself to clean, gouged carves. The blend of reduced width at the tip and tail and nicely integrated rocker creates a forgiving feel that disguises its inherent strength.”

For the way it expands the performance envelope in every direction, we are honored to bestow upon the Enforcer 110 a Silver Skier Selection.
