As one of the twin flagships of the Quattro line, the RX is festooned with features designed to deliver an ultra-secure, quiet ride that should travel unperturbed through just about anything. Yet in the first edition versions our testers essayed, the RX let itself be bullied by clumpy, side-of-the-trail snow and generally displayed indifference to anything but the most manicured slopes.
Damp to a fault, the RX needs speed to display its potential and feels more comfortable at high edge angles than low. Geared for the cruiser who charges, it will be fun to see how the tweaked RX performs when it’s firing on all cylinders.
