Salomon wasn’t kidding when they christened their powder ski collection, “Rocker2,“ for they represent rocker raised to the next power.  Only 40% of the ski’s baseline touches the snow when the ski’s flat, and while this contact doubles when the ski’s on edge, it still means the Rocker2 108 is going to be easy to smear.  Its 5-point sidecut means its spatula tip plays a part in flotation and shock absorption but doesn’t affect turn radius, so the 108 skis a little shorter and feels a little quicker than its waist width would imply.  This Salomon has the personality of a pure Powder ski in the more agile geometry of a Big Mountain board.
