If you’re under 30 and living at the base of Snowbird or Jackson Hole– an improbable but attainable nirvana – the Rocker2 122 might be your everyday ski.  For everyone else, this is a Powder-only proposition, with its every design aspect tailored to this condition.  What Salomon refers to as “hook free taper,” means the extended tip is segregated from the sidecut underfoot that imparts turn shape.  Both tip and tail are themselves made from honeycomb material so they feel all but invisible. Together these features make the Rocker2 122 ski shorter than it measures, which is a good thing in light of its 26m turn radius in a 184cm.  That’s a big-boy turn that needs a big mountain to maneuver.
