Because of their considerable girth, Big Mountain skis can feel ponderous on the foot. You feel less like you’re riding a porpoise and more like you’re driving a plow.  The Sick Day 110 is decidedly more of the porpoise school.  It cuts a tighter arc than you expect from a ski 110mm underfoot, and its lightweight construction contributes to the sensation of quickness edge to edge.

This makes the Sick Day 110 easy to steer in the slim slots through the trees and responsive enough to negotiate soft bumps. A bull of a skier will overpower it, but those who ride with a light rein will enjoy its relative agility.  A dab of camber creates hard snow behavior that’s better than one might anticipate for a ski with such a rockered tip, but that doesn’t mean this 110 wouldn’t prefer to spend its sick day in powder.
